She was fed up. Sleepless nights were one thing, the cries of pain and frustration were another. Desperate for a solution, she turned to the specialists. The enemy was eczema, and its grip was relentless. A son’s struggle and a mother’s heartache ignited a passion to find a solution.
Victory came to our founder, Jean Scholtes, after countless hours of research. Nourishing natural oils, butters, and botanicals were the main ingredients in the initial products that soothed her son Cooper’s irritated skin. In only one month of using his mom’s soap (instead of the many “trusted brands” she had been trying), all signs of eczema were gone. His soothed skin meant he was a happier boy, and momma could finally rest.
Yet there was a new itch inside of this mom, one that called her to help many others who needed to know there was a better way. A new passion grew, and from this story, KIND soap company was born.

An estimated 31 million Americans suffer from some form of eczema. (1) With no definitive cause and no known cures, many have attempted to curb the vexing symptoms in a myriad of ways. It manifests as an irritation, but can quickly become a serious skin issue that affects a person’s entire well being.
